Students are urged to join the department’s ongoing basic research programs and publishing their research findings in recognized scientific journals. To initiate an advance to the “real world,” they undergo rotations in the IIIS basic skill laboratory and the first pathological laboratories at the affiliated hospitals of the IIIS. They learn to handle and deal with the specimen, bio-safety management, and learn the principles, core skills, and professionalism.
